1. Missing or lost ribbon or appurtenance Fill in the Contact the Awards Officer (AWD) form. Explain which ribbons/appurtenance's that you need replacing. Calculate the cost for replacement and add that to the comments section of the form. Replacement cost is $5 per item.
2. Ribbon earned and not yet issued/update ribbon bar If you were given a ribbon award certificate at the last drill weekend or would like your ribbon bar checked for updates, complete the Contact the Awards Officer (AWD) form with all the details and your ribbon bar will be checked against your electronic Service Record and updated accordingly.
3. When and how should you turn in your ribbon bar? Ribbon bars should be turned in to the Awards Officer (AWD) after checking in with the Yeoman, turning cell phones in and stowing all gear in the locker room at the start of the drill day. The ribbon bar should be sealed in a zip-lock bag with the cadets last name and initial clearly stenciled with a black sharpie pen and turned into the Awards Officer (AWD).
If ribbon bars are turned in at the start of the drill as outlined above, the goal will be to update the ribbon bar and re-issue to the cadet the following day*. It is the cadets responsibility to return to the Awards Officer (AWD) on the Sunday of the drill weekend to retrieve their ribbon bar.
NOTE: While every attempt is made to update and retuned the ribbon bar there may be occasions when ribbon bars will be updated between drills and returned the following drill weekend.
